Job Description Summary As an Engineer, Product Readiness, you will work within new technology or new product projects. Your role within those projects will be to ensure that the design is capable of being manufactured in a cost-effective, high quality manner and that safety within the process is embedded. You will be expected to be an active participant in projects, specifically contributing on product control details for quality that improve safety and manufacturability. You will be responsible for delivery of product control plan aspects as part of the project outcome.

Job Description Key responsibilities and deliverables include:
Main responsibilities below but not limited to:
  • Help to identify requirements for new designs that cover manufacturability and safety
  • Develop and validate design concepts that enhance safety or manufacturability
  • Optimise and develop those concepts - showing that they work practically in a production environment
  • Verify that the requirements are met and that quality controls are in place and functionable
  • Ensure that the design concept is embedded within a quality framework of FMEAs, Validation and Control Plans and associated response mechanisms for deviation handling. This should be done with reference to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Degree in a field relevant to development or manufacturing of wind turbine blades
  • Basic knowledge of wind turbine blade designs, composite manufacturing processes & operations
  • Some experience in execution of projects (could be as part of study program)
  • Ability to work with others as part of a bigger project team
  • A strong and inclusive communicator, able to remain focused on delivery and execution
  • Some business awareness combined with international experience and cultural awareness covering Americas, Europe, India and China
  • Strong English language skill (verbal and writing)

  • Project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work through ambiguity to deliver results.
  • Basic knowledge on FMEA principles.

  • Ability to challenge the Status Quo. Comfortable with driving change.
