Job Description Summary Working cross-functionally within the Power Conversion Systems business this Sourcing role is responsible for supporting the procurement decisions and its requirements for System & balance of plant requirements on all Systems projects.
Job Description You will be part of a Systems Souring team responsible for engaging with Sales, Engineering, Quality and Finance teams throughout the tendering process and will help identify the most competitive sources whilst enforcing Sourcing Strategies for each commodity.

Job Description You will be part of a Systems Souring team responsible for engaging with Sales, Engineering, Quality and Finance teams throughout the tendering process and will help identify the most competitive sources whilst enforcing Sourcing Strategies for each commodity.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support the supplier RFQ prospect processes for GE PC Systems to ensure rapid response for competitive, compliant, commercial proposals.
- Support the negotiation phases prior to contracting, including, securing the most advantageous terms and conditions (Inco, Warranty, Payment, etc.)
- Support the development of commodity strategies and proactively support commodity initiatives.
- Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability. Manage the status of prospects and support any related supplier performance issues. Identify and assess new competitive sources of supply.
- Support escalation issues for invoice payments to resolution.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have a solid experience in sourcing; preferably with commodities such as switchgear, transformers, power electronics, e-houses, motors, generators and instrumentation.
- Be knowledgeable on legal terms and contract negotiation.
- Be able to read and interpret BOM's and technical drawings.
- Be efficient working with PC, databases, SAP and AP systems.
- Have strong numeric and analytical skills.
