Job Description Summary As the GE Renewable Energy Technical Security Manager, you are responsible for the management of all Security access control, CCTV, and dedicated alarm systems on a global spectrum. You will work very closely with site leadership; the Business SRCM team, EHS and IT representatives; GE regional SRCM leaders; the GE Corporate Global Operations Properties (GOP) team; designated IFM providers and security systems vendors. You will give your full support related to any security project for all GE Renewable Energy sites (existing, new projects and acquisitions).

Job Description Essential Responsibilities

Coordinate with multiple office sites, service facilities and manufacturing sites for the implementation and maintenance of SRCM programs necessary to ensure full compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance to regional, site and district managers on all aspects of GE Physical Security Standards, processes and strategies. Typical tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver the Physical Security System integration, maintenance & upgrade program for all GE Renewable Energy sites (offices, manufacturing and servicing centers) globally.
- Serves as a single point of contact for all issues relative to Badging, Access Control Systems, CCTV and alarm systems on a global spectrum.
- Provides technical assistance and expertise in the design, implementation and management of all new security system installations. Coordinate the preparation of security system design drawings, preparation of scope of works, parts list and tender documents. Manage the tender process.
- Ensure installations are meet with any data privacy requirements as set by legislation and/or local or national frameworks and guidelines. Knowledge of GDRP is an advantage.
- Manage a global database of security system vendors able to support GE Renewable Energy sites and operations.
- Conduct and support SRCM due diligence audits for new site/office locations (new leases, lease exits, renewals, expansions, office optimizations, etc.), including SRCM operational building compliance audits and design reviews for office fit-outs.
- Identify significant site security risks and design appropriate site hardening and risk mitigation processes.
- Drive metrics and compliance with all GE Physical Security programs, processes and requirements across all Renewable Energy managed sites.
- Support, mentor and train the business SRCM team members, site leadership and regional managers on the security systems in use within the business and any regulatory requirements with regards their use.
- In conjunction with the GE Corporate and other business Security System Managers create and update the security system standards documents and ensure that all systems adhere to the current standard on behalf of the business.
- Lead digitization of SRCM programs and processes.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with regional business leaders, IFM provider leaders, Regional Security Directors, Corporate Environmental Programs, local law enforcement, government agencies, security suppliers / vendors.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 7+ years working experience management experience in corporate security demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and accountability within an international corporate environment or BTech/National Higher diploma in Occupational Engineering.
- 7+ years of professional practical demonstrable experience in SCM management (preferably in both office and industrial sites across multi-sites/countries.
- Experience working with SCM standards and regulations globally, but specifically in Europe.
- Knowledge and technical depth of security management concepts including physical security, information protection and crisis management/emergency preparedness.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment techniques.
- Proven ability to self-manage, self-motivate and drive team performance - able to organize and focus teams and tasks remotely.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
- Computer skills/literacy and experience working with digital online databases.
Desired Characteristics:
- Graduate degree and 5+ years of relevant security & crisis management experience with an international corporation already operating within the region.
- Professional qualifications - Project management skills would be advantageous.
- International certification such as Certified Protection Professional & Certified Security Management Systems.
- Experience in designing and/or managing security systems to include but not limited to Access Control, Closed Circuit TV and Intrusion.
- Experience in managing third party projects and SLA management.
- Expert knowledge of security regulations in European countries.
- Good organizational, project management and analytical skills.
- Culturally aware.
- Independent thinker, capable of identifying emerging issues and recommending appropriate mitigation.
- Ability to self-manage/motivate and independently drive performance in a challenging environment.
- Needs to be confident and display enthusiasm and energy for Security. Must have a 'can-do' attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver against measurable goals.
- Ability to organize and focus teams, tasks and requests and manage sites/teams remotely. Project management skills would be advantageous.
- Understanding of GE SCM Tools: Gensuite, Frameworks, Measurements Reporting.
Eligibility Requirements
- Previous work experience in the European security sector essential.
- Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, which may include drug testing, reference verification and background check.
- Must be prepared to travel approximately 25% of the time, globally. COVID travel restrictions permitting.
