Job Details

Hertfordshire Constabulary is looking for two A2 DriveSafe Camera Van driver to work within a new unit operating two new Safety Camera Vans within Hertfordshire. This is a new role, there are two current vacancies, one at Hemel Hempstead Police Station and at North Herts (Hitchin) Police station. The roles are based in the Community Safety Unit. The post holder will be employed on a full-time basis (12 Month Contract). The team will be made up of one Road Safety Van Coordinator and two Camera van Drivers who will report to the Coordinator/Community safety Sergeant.

The working hours of this role will be Monday-Friday.

The post holder will be responsible for operating the camera vans within their training at pre-determined locations to deter drivers from anti-social driving and exceeding the speed limit, recording the details of said drivers for processing.

The successful candidate will need to have a good grasp of IT and computer skills as well as being able to multi-task and work under pressure. Good communication and customer service skills are essential to this role. The successful candidate is required to have a full manual UK driving license with Cat B entitlements and experience in working with members of the public possessing good written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be motivated and have a commitment to the Road safety Partnership's values.
