Greater Manchester Police is one of the UK's largest police forces and is responsible for keeping people safe across more than 1,200 sq km. Greater Manchester Shared Services are looking for an individual seeking a new and exciting challenge and an opportunity to support colleagues across Greater Manchester Police and Trafford Council within the shared service centre based at Trafford Town Hall. You will need to be a self-motivated individual who is able to work in a fast paced customer focused environment and have a passion for shared service delivery.
Our Customer Service Team are responsible for ensuring GMSS deliver an excellent service to a consistently high standard, with resolution of queries at the first point of contact. Advisors are responsible for the day-to-day management of all customer queries, over the telephone and through our query management system, ensuring that customer expectations of performance and service are met.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with extensive experience in a customer service role within a large organisation. You will already have some HR and payroll knowledge ideally working with iTrent or a similar pay system. Previous experience of terms and conditions for Police Staff, Police Officers, Local Authority and/or Teachers would also be a distinct advantage. This is a busy and challenging role, dealing with a wide variety of high volume queries therefore an ability to work under pressure to tight timescales is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, be a strong team player with a flexible approach and be confident working in a fast paced customer focused environment.
You will have a pro-active approach to tackling issues and suggesting and developing improvements and you will be keen to collaborate with your colleagues across the service to drive innovation and promote customer service.
