OTM Trainee Driver / Operator

About the role

We're looking to recruit an OTM Trainee Driver / Operator to operate and/or drive "On Track" machines for which certificates of competency have been obtained.

You will be responsible for carrying out the servicing, cleaning and fuelling of machines as directed as well as minor repairs. You will also provide the completion and return of all associated paperwork including Phires Forms, signing of log books and other documentation as required.

This is an exciting position working for a large Defence organisation. Babcock are the main contractor on the Network Rail Track Alliance framework for Track renewals and Signalling & Telecoms projects, for at least the next five years.

What do I need to do the role?

You will be a qualified UK train driver with a current valid European train driving licence (and car).

Personal Track Safety Certificate (PTS) would be an advantage.

You will also possess a good knowledge of OTM operation, and be prepared to work and live away from home when required depending on location of projects.

What else do I need to know?

This role is based out of Rutherglen site but will require travelling to sites across Scotland. There will also be occasions working away from home when required.
