About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an Asset Support Manager.

Babcock Devonport is seeking to continue growth of the Asset Management (AM) Function and development of our AM principles and practices in line with ISO55000 best practice to deliver improved Naval Base assets against our future customer requirements in line with the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP).

To support this there is a need to recruit full time Asset Support Managers to assist the role of Senior Business Managers - Asset Management within Devonport with the development and implementation of identified interventions, and improvement in processes and practices.

The provision of safe, available, reliable and capable facilities is at the heart of what Babcock delivers, which supports Devonport's operational requirements.

Main Purpose of Role:
As the Asset Support Manager, you will assist the Business/Asset Manager with advising the Plant Managers and Asset Owners on risks, mitigations, cost and performance of relevant assets.

Main duties will include engagement with customer to support the requirements of FMSP, through life governance and decision making and risk management.

Other duties:
• Business Case initiation and CAPEX Planning
• Whole life costing of assets
• Asset information management
• Maintaining the sustainment and design intent of assets
• Collating asset performance data

This role also includes directly supporting the Asset Managers in administering Asset Management Plans, collating asset performance data, Facility Vulnerability Assessments and Level 0 Risk Register.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within two business units within Babcock.

What do I need to do the role?
You will need project management / programme management, asset management/ facilities management experience and minimum educated to Degree level or equivalent.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
• Experience in interrogating data from reports and projects and presenting in usable formats
• Relevant engineering experience
• Awareness of Safety Case impacts & adherence requirements
• Ability to produce reports, dashboards and generate proposals / recommendations independently
• Institute of Asset Management Certificate (training can be provided).

We are not looking for asset management experience within financial industries, this role is focused on bricks and mortar - housing industry/facilities management etc.
