Role Overview:

QuEST Global are hiring for a C# Software Engineer on a permanent basis to be based in Luton.

This position is for embedded software development in an end to end role focused on electronic warfare systems.
As a software engineer, you will work within an integrated project team and be responsible for creating high quality and robust designs and code; for fully documenting and recording your work products; keeping them under configuration management and providing plans and progress reports.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

  • Experience developing software in industry, or experience of a research and development organisation
  • Programming in an object-oriented programming language. C# is mandatory.
  • Confident in Object Oriented Design and UML (Unified Modelling Language)
  • Familiarity with Model Driven Engineering

Desirable

  • Ideally a 2:1, or better, in a relevant science-based honours degree e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Electronic Engineering (BSc (Hon)/ BEng (Hon)/ MEng)
  • Experience in some of: Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, Confluence, ReSharper, Rhapsody, MatLab/Simulink, DOORS, Dimensions would be beneficial.
  • Preferred background in Electronic Warfare, Automotive, Rail, Transportation, Aerospace or other domains that are tightly regulated and safety critical

 Other:

  • Sole UK citizenship is a mandatory requirement
