Role: Space Engineering Manager
Location: London (2/3 days wfh flexibility)
Salary: up to £100,000 (dependant on experience)
Are you an innovative and experienced Head of/ Chief Engineer, who has a passion for Space, looking to take a step up and lead a new Space function, for a recognised World leader in this field? I am seeking a Space Engineering Manager, with extensive management and Space technology capabilities.
You will be working for a high profile organisation, on mission-critical systems, shaping the way the aviation industry meets the highest safety standards. This role is a genuinely exciting opportunity to be the leader within a completely new, greenfield, ground-breaking team. You will have strategic importance in regulating future space activities, from constellations to launch.
As Space Engineering Manager, you will be required to:
- Lead the development of Space Engineering assessment, assurance and analysis practice
- Ensure Space Engineering activity is compatible with relevant governance and safety accountability for Space Regulation
- Lead the development of expert knowledge in the operation of launch vehicles, ranged and spaceports
- Liaise and engage with UK and International Space industry and prospective operators, to enhance the expertise of the function.
You will bring your extensive experience of leading an Engineering/ Business Unit, to set vision and influence others at Senior Leadership level at cross-organisational level. Coupled with management, it is essential to have a strong technical background, with experience in the design/delivery of Space hardware, and tooling software. The ability to develop stakeholder relationships from a variety of high profile backgrounds (including Government & Legal) is essential, as you will be at the heart of safeguarding the UK, from both a health and financial perspective - integral to development moving forward within the Space Industry.
