Job Description Summary The Global Parts Strategy Leader will own the commercial, product, marketing and digital strategy for GE's onshore wind aftermarket parts business. This role will be responsible to grow the business by developing new offerings, improving forecasting, creating strategic partnerships, and ensuring that there is a strong lifecycle strategy for parts starting from new unit design to end of life. Essential Responsibilities
As the Global Parts Strategy Leader, you will
- Identify and evaluate market needs, opportunities, and develop product and offering business cases
- Apply lean principles to drive product and offering development through ideation, economic evaluation, technical development and rapid testing and deployment
- Drive engagement with regional teams to incorporate local requirements and forecasting to increase parts sales
- Support key commercial strategies and contractual portfolio needs
- Quantify customer value proposition, differentiation, and lead commercial communication
- Expand GE's reach by supporting and developing channel frame work agreements globally
- Leverage technology such as Ecommerce and others to increase customer acquisition and satisfaction in parts buying process
- Work with sourcing, fulfillment and planning members to ensure inventory preparedness and supply chain optimization to maximize parts sales and customer responsiveness
- Explore new areas and technologies where GE can innovate or bring value to customers
- Provide insight into new unit product development to ensure maximum value to GE and customer during lifecycle of spare and capital parts
- Lead commercial discussions with GE partners and suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements for lifecycle of spare and capital parts
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, Operations, Services or Sales
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to form strong cross - functional relationships and align stakeholders around a common goal
- Strong project management experience
- Experience in wind services preferred
- Ability to distill large amounts of information and effectively communicate key messages
- Self - starter, highly motivated, innovative and creative thinker
- Proven analytical skill set and strategic mind - set, ability to quickly move from details to the holistic view and vice versa
