We are currently looking to recruit a G2 Outreach & Liaison Senior Manager in our London site.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and credible person to establish and lead a new outreach and liaison function for TRACER. This role will be at the heart of work to equip the police and intelligence community to address the threats and opportunities arising from the digital revolution, and will act as a bridge between research & development and operational communities.

TRACER is a multi-agency team, based in the National Crime Agency (NCA) and working on behalf of the operational policing and intelligence community. TRACER has two key roles: to monitor trends in the digital communications environment and the impact of these on operational capabilities, and sponsoring innovation to address the threats and opportunities that are identified as a result. In order to do this TRACER needs to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both within the NCA, across the operational community, and beyond, including wider government, academia, industry and others involved in technological innovation and its impact on society.

The outreach and liaison function that TRACER is establishing is about building a network of expertise that can inform and enhance this work. The aim being to provide a resource that TRACER can draw upon to consult and collaborate with in addressing challenges and opportunities identified through the strategic threat and risk assessment (STRA).
 

Responsibilities

• Development, implementation and maintenance of TRACER’s outreach and liaison strategy and plan in support of overall business plan and priorities
• Maintaining and developing a network of outreach and liaison contacts across government, academia, research institutions, think tanks, industry and civil society
• Development, implementation and oversight of research and outreach projects in response to agreed priorities
• Initiating, planning and running a focused programme of outreach and liaison events and communications in support of the strategy
• Developing outreach and liaison enabling functions including communications collateral, information sharing arrangements and stakeholder management
• Supporting wider TRACER assessment and innovation and proposition activity

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.

People working with government assets must complete basic personnel security standard checks.
