Rentokil Initial has an IT strategy, in the main, of developing and deploying bespoke applications across the Prospect to Cash business processes. The Group Information Systems (GIS) function is developing an exciting new generation suite of Enterprise solutions utilising Google Cloud Platform.

The successful candidate will have achieved proficiency in the Task of User Experience Design Level 4. Has experience of agile, App development and digital automation design. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the business and is able to demonstrate the importance of UX design for the business and its customers. Able to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders given the agreed product strategy and plan.


KEY FUNCTIONS

??? The iterative development of user tasks, interaction and interfaces to meet user requirements, considering the whole user experience.

??? Refinement of design solutions in response to user-centred evaluation and feedback and communication of the design to those responsible for implementation

??? Iterative assessment (from early prototypes to final live implementation) of effectiveness, efficiency, user satisfaction, health and safety, and accessibility to measure or improve the usability of new or existing processes, with the intention of achieving optimum levels of product or service usability.

??? Consider and ensure that digital learning material is available to minimise User Training and drive adoption

??? Work to drive end user productivity, removing waste and enhancing user adoption for new starters or casual users.

??? Participates in external activities related to own specialism. Makes decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives.

??? Collaborates regularly with team members, users and customers. Engages to ensure that user needs are being met throughout.

??? Supports the team in estimating features (Points per Sprint vs Capacity) and setting sprint priorities (from the backlog).


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

??? Achieved proficiency in the Task of User experience design - Level 3

??? Demonstrates a concern and aptitude for considering the user's perspective in IT development

??? Familiar with theory and practice of user centred systems development and use of the relevant tools

??? Familiar with principles and application of ergonomics to software and IT systems

??? Effective and persuasive in presenting technical issues, processes and solutions both orally and written

??? Capable of guiding and transferring knowledge to less experienced colleagues
