About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Defence Transport Trainer (DTT).

The purpose of your role is to carry out training and licensing duties within the scope of current Road Traffic Legislation, Road Transport Law and Service Publications.

You'll ensure that you've read, signed as having read and understood and comply with all Local Operating Procedures and Work Instructions when issued appropriate to their position in the Organisation.

You'll also ensure that you're aware of, and are to comply with, the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, all associated Regulations, Directives, Statutory Instruments and Approved Codes of Practice. This includes monitoring, compilation and maintenance of such records as are required to perpetuate a safe working environment.

In the absence of the TL MTT&L, you'll assume the role and responsibilities of the roles in respect of transport training, and licencing, taking responsibility for all MT related matters contained at Reference A.

Other duties include assisting the Station Health Environmental Function representative, attending meetings every 6 months if required, training monitoring and administration of white card holders and annual reassessment of their competencies in accordance with the instruction held at Reference B, driver familiarisation training on all vehicles types held and delivering Land Rover familiarisation training iaw GS MOD 1 training package commensurate with the Statement of Requirement.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need a background/qualifications in the industry, hold full clean driving license with categories B+E, C, and D and Driver Qualification Card LGV PCV.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
• ADR Class 1 & 3
• Qualified DRSA
• Qualified SEM JAMES
• Qualified JAMES Administrator
• Qualified ADR Awareness Instructor
• Qualified as a RTITB Fork lift truck Instructor
• Qualified TMV Instructor
• Defence General Service Driver Conversion Instructor (DGSDCI)
• DWT Defence Qualified Instructor

What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
