Senior Software Engineer - DV cleared (contract)

My client are consulting on a government programme and are seeking a DV cleared Senior Software Engineer to join an ongoing project.

Predominantly remote working until restrictions are lifted. However, office based work may still be required. 

Contract Length: 6-months (+ potential extensions)

Day rate: circa £600p/d

Skills and experience

Candidates must have previous experience working in a customer facing Java Engineering role, providing services to public sector / government organisations. 

Essential:

• Experience in being involved in a range of technical projects across the software development lifecycle; design, implementation, integration and testing of software
• High-technical capability in the use of Java and object orientated programming; including a range of technologies within the Java stack
• Working closely with customers on a day to day basis
• Experience of working effectively and pro-actively in an Agile (Scrum) environment
• Hands-on experience with a broad range of open source products

Desirable:

• Practical hands-on experience of enterprise cloud services and architectures
• DevOps and associated tooling; Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible
