About the role
Here at Cavendish Nuclear, we are looking to employ an Internal Auditor. Cavendish Nuclear, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Babcock International Group, is a leading nuclear services company. From servicing existing nuclear power plants, building the next generation of nuclear power plant, decommissioning some of the most complex nuclear sites in the world, to helping to keep the UK's fleet of nuclear powered submarines at sea, our people innovate to deliver nuclear services safer, faster, at lower cost.

Working within a new team of 4, you will establish, maintain, and deliver an effective system of assurance for activities related to Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality, Engineering, Project Management, and Project Controls; Knowledge Management; Business Winning and other corporate functions.

You will establish and maintain the strategic approach to Assurance and Assurance Process and a three year look ahead planner of Assurance Reviews, maintain an action tracker for actions related to Assurance Review Findings and Recommendations and establish, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicators related to the risks and opportunities identified through the delivery of the Assurance Programme including trends.

What do I need to do the role?
Previous Governance, Auditing, Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental or Project experience within a highly regulated industry would be ideal but what's most important is your interpersonal skills as training can be provided.

What else do I need to know?
• Permanent position with a competitive annual salary, bonus and excellent benefits.
• Can be based in either Warrington, Bristol, Leicester or Cumbria.
• Travel will be required (when Covid-19 regulations allow) across UK Cavendish sites an average of 3 times a month.
• All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
