Location: remote working

Length of contract: 3 months (with possibility of extension)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

A high profile Central Government organisation is seeking a Programme Analyst who is a confident, courageous and analytical champion who can prepare and maintain a robust business case justifying the necessary investment in the project, and can assure they continue to be viable and achievable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Business Case Lead in understanding, analysing and tracking business case actual activity against baselines.
• Assist with working closely with other teams to ensure financial and resource positions are being recorded fully and accurately financial and PMO reporting.
• Support with business case modelling and gathering artefacts across the organisation to support or challenge business case assumptions.
• Assist in checking whether key business case assumptions still are valid and support with subsequent modelling.

You will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Apply analytical techniques to model different business case assumptions and scenarios and to report on actual costs and resource utilisation and model updated forecast positions
• Applying different presentation techniques to provide dashboards on key business case performance / critical path indicators
• Apply key business analysis techniques to understand and help evaluate the operational risks and interdependencies and their impact on current business case positions

You may be able to demonstrate the following desirable experience:

• Major project or programme environment - working within a complex environment at scale within government or private sector
• Cross sector experience - breadth of experience working with and across different sectors
• The lead criteria are project delivery tracking and gathering and modelling data evidence
