HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire

Part-Time (26 hours)/ Permanent

Salary £11,934 per annum + Benefits

Here at Serco we're looking for a Mail Room Clerk to join us at HMP Lowdham Grange based in Nottinghamshire. The postholder will be responsible for the prompt and efficient distribution and forwarding of mail, ensuring that the franking machine is kept operational and ensuring all legal correspondence is distributed to the legal correspondence administrator on a daily basis.

You willanswer all telephone calls promptly and courteously, process all incoming and outgoing mail in line with local instructions and PSI, ensure E-mail a prisoner emails are sent to the relevant houseblocks and provide administration support IMB where required

What you'll need to do the role

First and foremost, you'll need to have worked in a similar role or have previous post room experience. It would be advantageous if you've worked within a Custodial setting, but this is not essential. Cash Handling and Switchboard work will also be highly desirable.

The successful applicant will be computer literate (inclusive of Microsoft packages), able to work on their own initiative, approachable, efficient and reliable. We are looking for someone that can communicate at all levels, build strong working relationships and be a successful part of an ever-growing team.

Must be able to work Mon-Thu 7.30am-1pm, Fri 7.30am-11.30am (Possible Saturdays may also be introduced at a later date)
