Senior Java Developer

Role: Senior Java Developer

Location: Swindon (w/ WFH flexibility)

Salary: £52,000 - £54,000 + Civil Service Pension Scheme

Are you passionate about modern technology, keen to work on critical research projects, and looking for a step up into a Senior Software position? An experienced Java Software Developer is required to work closely with the Lead Developer, within a Scrum Team, to provide quality solutions to the business.

This innovative Public Sector organisation, with a budget of £6+ billion, are working on cutting-edge technologies, at a pivotal stage of research. The successful Senior Software Developer will work in-house, contributing in the development of different systems within the organisation. Additionally, the Senior level brings the responsbility to provide coaching and mentoring to Junior Developers on the team, and provide your expertise to the wider business.

Core competencies include:

• Extensive Agile Software Development and SCRUM team experience
  • Software: Java platform - Java 8, Springboot
  • With additional skills in web front-end technologies - e.g. HTML, CSS, Bootstrap etc.
• Ideally knowledge of Javascript/Typescript
• Strong demonstrable experiencve designing, coding and debugging Java based systems
• Desire to help coach/mentor other Developers, situated alongside the Lead Developer
