Interim Security Information Risk Advisor (SIRA) - Remote Working

Pay Rate: Up to £609.95 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Key Accountabilities:

  • To assess networks or interact with network related personnel where the interaction cannot be effectively achieved remotely
  • Report writing will need to be completed on the site where the information was obtained
  • Carry out a thorough technical assessment of each network to provide well founded confidence in each system’s cyber security and/or to identify improvements to prevent issues materialising or being repeated in the future
  • Provide a deep technical assessment of existing security documentation, procedures and practice and responses to audits, ITHCs, risk management and accreditation requirements and interviews with network personnel as required
  • Assisting with the assessment of proposals and methodologies from other contributors to the demonstrator such as the architectural assessment, helping shape the ITHC scope, report writing, the identification, collation and distribution of information, and where appropriate assisting with risk management.
  • Project management work to be undertaken by the SIRAs will include developing and maintaining the project plan, organising the individuals and organisations involved, chasing the delivery of the activities, moving the programme forward at pace, tracking deliverables and the identification, collation and distribution/ensuring the availability of information and co-ordinating the input and activities of those involved in the programme.
  • To draw findings together in the overarching reports by network and bring together each system report into Demonstrator Programme reports.
  • To ensure that the reports include remedial actions and/or improvement plans for each network authority and will propose lessons learnt to improve the Programme going forward.
  • Deliver the scoping process for the activities to ensure the system is understood and appropriate individual task scopes are delivered.
  • Coordinating workshops for the delivery partners with the key system personnel to provide an in-depth understanding of the systems.
  • Identifying the activities required to complete the tasks.
  • Ensuring that each activity lead creates a high-level overview that agrees the activities to be undertaken to perform the assessment
  • Provide detailed documentation is drafted to agree the activities for each element of the task, including the SIRA activities
  • Coordinating activities to ensure that the different task delivery partners can interact and share information.
  • Identify remedial action and/or improvement plans and issues to be added to the overarching risk table and prioritised. The remedial action and/or improvement plans needs to be drafted and agreed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid CISSP certification essential
  • Capability to deliver the SOW using Senior Security and Information Risk Advisor SFIA Responsibility Level 4 expertise
