My role
As a cloud engineer, I am proud to have an exciting role in contributing towards the organisation’s 2030 Vision, harnessing the power of the cloud, (both culture and technology) for maximum benefit. I can see how the work I do contributes to the delivery of the new capabilities and ways of working the organisation needs to keep ahead in this fast-changing world. The work the team is doing is ground-breaking; I’m helping us to do things we’ve never done before. As part of a self-managing, agile team, I’ll be using my experience in cloud engineering to deliver the ecosystem required for lawful and compliant use of the cloud.

- I enjoy learning and helping others learn by experimenting and sharing knowledge and experiences
- I enjoy contributing to new ways of working
What I do

- Build business services and re-usable components in the cloud
- Help determine the best way of engineering such solutions to provide a world class level of security, anonymity and separation of duties for solution components, making sure that security is at the heart of everything we do
- Help to develop best practice and educate our engineering community in cloud technologies
- Work within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver key objectives at pre-defined programme increments
- Identify, articulate and mitigate any risk associated with the ecosystem
- Communicate progress regularly with the rest of the team
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle
- Work as part of my team to continuously improve by identifying innovation opportunities, leading new initiatives and experimenting with innovative approaches
- Develop myself through training, learning from others and experimenting
