My role 

As the Cloud Learning and Development Lead, I am proud to have an exciting role in driving the organisation towards the 2030 Vision, harnessing the power of the cloud, (both culture and technology) for maximum benefit. I work in a busy, fast-paced environment with a varied, supportive and highly motivated team. I can see how the work I do contributes to the delivery of the new capabilities and ways of working the organisation needs to keep ahead in this fast changing world. In addition the work the team is doing is ground-breaking; I’m helping us to do things we’ve never done before. As part of a self-managing, agile team I’ll be using my learning and development expertise and experience to accelerate the whole organisation’s Journey to the Cloud.

What I do 

• I am part of the Cloud Hub team, who are at the heart of the organisation’s Journey to the Cloud. My team and I anticipate and solve problems and find better ways of doing things.  
• I evolve our Cloud Learning and Development Strategy and Principles 
• I articulate Learning and Development requirements during development of the Cloud Adoption Strategy  
• I maintain alignment with other Cloud Hub Learning and development leads in our partners, sharing information/knowledge 
• I liaise with Heads of Profession (and other areas of the business) to identify gaps in learning and development offerings 
• I map learning offerings to specific roles and development programmes  
• I brief business teams on available training to encourage uptake 
• I drive, deliver, contribute to, monitor and adjust learning and development activities working with training suppliers and internal teams as necessary 
• I report progress on learning and development activities as part of my team 
• I act as the point of contact for general queries about Cloud L&D 
• I work as part of my team to continuously improve by identifying innovation opportunities, leading new initiatives and experimenting with innovative approaches 

Experience Required 

Essential  -  experience of three or more of the following: 

• Leading similar initiatives in industry or government  
• Using current learning and development approaches, tools and techniques  
• Working within a change and projects environment 
• Developing and delivering learning content to varying sizes of audience, both physical and virtual 

Desirable 

• Highly conversant with digital transformation and leadership 
• Experience of working within the Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe) 
• Using Lean Start Up and innovation approaches 
• Familiarity with cloud adoption approaches
