As Job Search Advisor you will contact and support recently unemployed and help with their search for and secure employment. Job Search Advisors will provide a range of tailored expert information, advice and guidance to the participants, this will include 1-2-1 support, digital sessions, a personalised CV and an action plan to support them in their job search. You will conduct research, monitor developments in education, training and employment and raising awareness of support options available to them.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months initially. We do have a number of office and home based positions available, however we do ask that our home based advisors live within a commutable distance to our office in Newcastle, NE1 as there may be occasions where you are required to attend site.

This role requires candidates to pass Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, this covers pre-employment checks on identity; employment history (minimum of 3 years); nationality/immigration status and criminal records.

What you'll need to do the role:

Whilst experience is preferred, we will provide training to those who hold minimum and GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and have some call centre/customer service experience. You should be able to meet the training and development requirements of the role. You should also have good research skills with the ability to source information efficiently. Lastly but more importantly, you'll have excellent listening skills with the ability to interact in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner.
