Essential Functions:

Translates concepts, develops strategy, and implements change.   Creates programs responsive to external environment.   Participates in cross-functional business and cultural development. Activities include:

• Software representative in the Chief Engineer Office
• Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process.
• Provide leadership and guidance in the design review process, as well as presiding over formal design reviews.
• Promote division wide initiatives related to design quality and reliability.
• Represent the Chief Engineer's Office in matters related to design practices and design board activities.
• Provide technical mentoring
• Support Engineering Division quality initiatives.
• Lending experience/knowledge to help solve technical problems.
• Disseminates lessons learned across design organizations.

Detail scope:

• Monitor, standardize, socialize software/firmware processes, tools & initiatives (APM, software factory, cyber…) across GS
• Follow-up of NTI & NPI strategic software/firmware projects across GS
• Work with CCE's inside the PLs and other technical experts to foster software reuse including third party products
• Represent the Chief Engineers office in technical reviews and resolution of cross-functional technical issues.  
• Contact and coordination with IT function, including infrastructure aspects.
• Create and maintain contacts with REN, Digital ( mainly ex-SWS)
• Provide technical mentoring to the CTH (controlled title holder) community
• Coordination with IP strategies and activities
• Support GE quality initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• Strong levels of experience in an engineering capacity
