Network Engineer (SC) - Contract - Wiltshire - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Network Engineer to work at a leading defence client based in Wiltshire on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will provide a high level of Network support and configuration to a significant programme of defence systems upgrade and implementation.

Responsibilities include:

- Support the creation of the deployable Network Architecture by creating or updating relevant aspects of the Design Pack.

- Provide ad-hoc technical guidance on Network Engineering and support the creation of the client's engineering capability within.

- Support to the design of secure networks

- Work alongside Architects and bid teams to provide support to creation tender documentation.

Experience required:

- Significant Network engineering experience , based around both Cisco and Juniper systems

- Previous experience in the defence or military sectors would be highly desirable

- Knowledge of the full systems engineering lifecycle

- Skills with the support of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and wireless protocols

- Usage of network monitoring tools

- Holding a networking certification such as CCNA or CCNP would be an advantage

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
