Technical Delivery Manager (national Government Infrastructure) SC Cleared

The work is to plan and oversee the successful delivery and implementation of key NI across the estate. Work will require the service provider to address challenges arising from such an undertaking therefore a breadth of business, technical, commercial, finance acumen with strong management level skills is a must.

The project has a dependency on an existing legacy system which are being replaced. At the same time as replacing the legacy system, the WAN on which it operates will also need to be transitioned to a network managed in-house which is already in operation across. The impact of these changes results in the requirement for the project to be upgraded so it can continue to interface with the future infrastructure.

Key Skills / Experience

• Possess experience of managing/overseeing critical national government infrastructure projects with elements of IT software deployment, electrical and mechanical engineering, commercial, financial, requirements management
• Have proven capability of stakeholder management (both with operational and technology) skills and team member experience of working at Programme Boards level and with senior internal and external parties
• Possess a track record of gathering and refining user requirements for critical National infrastructure and
• Possess a track record of managing subordinate supplier delivery against those requirements within time and budget
• Possess experience of managing resources, budgets in line with customer requirements, business change & service requirements, internal and external resources and formal commercial relationships
• Possess experience of producing project related commercial, financial, economic, business and technical documentation
• Demonstrate experience of Programmes and ways of working including PRINCE2, ITIL and Agile and GDS standards
• Be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the operational context of a critical infrastructure
• Have the experience and track record of delivering Project Programme Management in deployment of national infrastructure, jointly with operational areas within a large organisation
