Security Architect (CISSP/CISMP) - Contract - Home Based - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Security Architect to work at a leading defence client, on a contract basis.

The role will initially be based from home, although travel may eventually be required to a site in Bristol.

The Security Architect will create and design security for a system or service, maintains security documentation and develops architecture patterns and security approaches to new technologies.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead the relevant Engineering Team through the Security Architecture phases and the associated required Assurance.

- Support the creation of the initial Security Architecture for subsequent phases

- Collaborate and communicate widely with  stakeholders as necessary.

- Present security designs and solutions for approval, in addition to articulating security risks and report on potential mitigations. 

- Provide specialised security advice and guidance to enable the project team to make security decisions.

Experience required:

- Strong background in Security Architecture and delivering cross cutting engineering and Security Designs.

- Previous work in the Defence or Military sectors would be desirable and awareness of the related security governance and systems.

- Experience of Enterprise and Service Approach to Security Design.

- A professional certification such as CISMP, CISSP, or CISM would be advantageous

- Ability to understand and apply security concepts to a technical level.

- Knowledge and experience of TOGAF and ITIL approaches

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be advantageous for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
