Vessel Design Engineer

Sitec - a Belcan company are currently looking to recruit a Vessel Design Engineer for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is an estimated 12 month contract and is paying competitively on an hourly basis.

You must hold current SC Clearance to apply for this position as the end customers projects are of an extremely high level of classification. Sitec can only accept applications from those resident in the UK for the last 10 years who hold a full British Passport. Unfortunately, dual nationals will not be considered for this role.

Job Purpose:

Provide technical support to the Vessel Engineering Management Team to deliver the Vessel design.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintain an understanding of the relevant legislation, standards and documentation associated with the client design process.Maintain an understanding of the design management techniques and tools used for the Vessel and associated equipment.Maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the organisation recording and delivery of engineering management activities including design reviews etc. Support the delivery of engineering design and delivery work within the project.Lead on stakeholder engagement activities in support of the delivery of the various facets of design deliveryAssist with and/or compile technical specifications for work package design tenders and manage associated tender return reviews.Undertake technical activities and produce documentation including records of meetings, technical reports and calculations.Review and check analysis work performed by others.

Essential Qualifications -

HNC/D or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
