Being a Care Services Broker in our Brokerage Team for Hertfordshire County Council's Adult Social Care Access Service (SCAS) is about more than just commissioning services for older people and their carers you'll find yourself working in a very supportive, dynamic team who strive to deliver the highest possible standard of care.

A vital role, you'll match & commission services for older people and their carers, this will mainly be domiciliary homecare, but will also include a range of other services. Through a strong and creative approach with partners you'll put in place services for care plans that have been allocated to you; ensure provisions are appropriate, personalised, flexible, responsive and value for money, particularly when supporting service users being discharged from hospital. You'll support services users to overcome barriers to them accessing services and support them with their assessment.

You will be based from either our Hemel Hempstead or Stevenage office, however at this time we are home working until further notice due to the current pandemic.

What you'll need to do the role,

To achieve success in this role you need to have vision, energy, drive and an empathetic approach to ensure the highest possible standard of care is always provided. We are keen to hear from those who have relevant experience and knowledge in the Social Care or Health industry. Calm and composed by nature, you'll respond to challenges, pressures and uncertainty with ease. Strong and effective communication skills are essential in order to build and maintain solid, long lasting working relationships with all stakeholders.
