Essential Responsibilities :
The Equipment Quality Lead (EQL) is responsible to assure that all pieces of equipment of the project are matching the required quality expectations. In close relationship with the project quality manager and the project procurement leader, she/he protects GE interests in all cases
• She/he contributes to defining the quality strategy and surveillance procedure for an assigned project,
• She/he establishes, maintains and monitors the general Inspection and Test Plan describing the rules implemented on the project for manufacturing control / expediting, Factory Tests (incl. Factory Acceptance Tests, Routine Tests and Type tests), notifications & report forms and authorization to ship,
• She/he establishes, maintains and verifies the implementation of the Inspections and Tests Plans for the project equipment, ensuring that the contractual, legal and internal requirements are met,
• She/he manages, coordinates and reports on the inspections and tests activities and on the related interfaces, maintaining the Project Procurement Leader, the Project Quality Manager and the project team liaison and communication on any related issues,
• She/he manages all non-conformities and/or punch lists related to project equipment,
• She/he contributes to get customer approval on the complete equipment quality documentation.
• She/he liaises with the sourcing, quality functions and other project teams to gather supplier assessments before selection, ROE of previous FAT with same suppliers and existing performance evaluations,
• She/he Liaise with the Logistic department to know about packing lists and appropriate packaging and transport precautions for sensitive equipment,
• She/he collects purchase orders, procurement specifications, applicable standards, technical specifications and requirements,
• She/he ensures with the engineering departments that testing requirements are reviewed and considered during supplier selection,
• Depending on equipment criticality, she/he may perform quality audits and inspections during manufacturing period

• She/he liaises with the procurement and the controls function to collect and update, when necessary, time schedule information related to ITP delivery,
• She/he acts as single point of contact for the Customer for all inspections and test calls,
• She/he liaises with internal partners and external suppliers to plan and deploy the manufacturing and factory tests activities,
• She/he gets the quality control plans during manufacturing, the inspection test plan (ITP) for FAT,
• She/he checks or makes it checked by engineering function that proposed detail ITP by suppliers are in line with contractual requirements and with applicable standards,
• She/he informs engineering function of planned needs and ask for engineering presence during FAT when needed,
• She/he participates when required to FAT or appoints an inspector in charge

Factory tests deployment
• She/he sends to the customer the factory tests procedures along with the relevant applicable documents and time schedules,
• She/he notifies the customer and/or his appointed representative and accompany him when he witnesses any factory tests as per the provisions of the general ITP plan,
• She/he witnesses or get someone to witness the tests carried out under the responsibility of the supplier, checking the conformity with the applicable documents and with the requirements of the purchase order,
• If required, she/he checks or makes it checked by engineering function that FAT results are in line with contractual requirements and with applicable standards,
• She/he ensures proper factory tests reports & evidences are recorded.
• She, he releases the supply for shipping,
• When contractual, she/he gets the authorization to ship from the customer,

Qualifications/Requirements :
• She/he participates to the ''Return of Experience'' process of the procurement function.
Overall equipment quality documentation
• She/he collects, updates and controls that supplier documentation is complete and is in line with the contractual requirements,
• She/he checks the appropriateness of the content of the main quality records linked to supply, including availability of OMM documentation,
• She/he ensures that quality records (evidences of conformity) of internal and external suppliers are identified, collected and available for use.
Non conformities
• She/he oversees the full non-conformities related to equipment.
• She/he records the reserves, if any, follows-up and makes the reserve lists cleared by the suppliers
• She/he identifies and records any non-conformities related to the ITP process
Health and Safety
• She/he demonstrates commitment to safety through participation in formal and informal discussions
• She/he adheres to all safe working procedures in accordance with instructions
• She/he ensures safety work instructions are complied
• She/he participates in the resolution of safety issues.
• She/he initiates actions to improve health and safety where needed

Desired Characteristics :
OTD - Equipment quality documentation delivered on time with the agreed level of quality,
OTD - Factory tests validated as per plan,
NC - Non-conformity managed in due time (ageing of the NC, say/do ratio)
NC - Cost of failure / cost of recovery
