The DSHA Business Insights team work across the following disciplines:

  • Performance Management: Helping clients to integrate planning and performance, connecting Finance with the operations of the business and shifting the dialogue from reviewing past performance to actively influencing the future. We focus on Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting and Digital Information Management & Reporting.

  • Decision Support: Using data, modelling and analytics to support strategic, commercial and financial analysis, enabling our clients to articulate the case for large-scale multi-million or multi-billion pound investments that deliver value for money change. In an environment where transparency is king, we deliver robust business cases, benefits realisation plans and sustainable cost reduction and profit improvement.

  • Insights: Bridging core performance management and business partnering in Finance, through establishing Finance Insights in our clients. We focus on growth performance analytics and FP&A operating model, working closely with the Performance Management team in areas of planning and reporting.

Your role
The core information relating to the role is as follows:

  • Service line: Consulting- Enterprise Technology & Performance

  • Grade: Senior Consultant

  • Home office location: London

  • Position type: Permanent/ full time

  • Clearance Requirements: Security Check (SC) and/ or Developed Vetting (DV)

The primary focus of your role will be delivering projects, and building lasting relationships with both new and existing clients using a combination of management and technical skills. As a Consultant/ Senior Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed financial analysis to support Business Case development and benefits realisation;

  • Strategic options analysis and evaluation: working with clients to understand and evaluate strategic options ahead of key investment decisions;

  • Designing, building, and implementing components of Finance organisations e.g. organisation design, defining best practice Finance processes;

  • Defining elements of the Target Operating Model for Finance i.e. identifying the future role of Finance, and understanding how it will deliver services to the business in terms of process, technology, people and organisation;

  • Helping Finance navigate the opportunities and challenges brought about by digital disruption and next generation finance technologies;

  • Building and maintaining client relationships to support and lead the sales process;

  • Supporting the management of the engagement lifecycle.

You will also play an important role in supporting practice development activities such as: developing new service offerings to take to market and contributing to thought leadership; contributing to the management of our business, including team communications; building finance and industry communities; and leading training and other talent initiatives.

Your professional skills and experience 
The following experience is desirable for this role:

  • Professional Finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA;
  • Experience working with clients from the DSHA industries;
  • Knowledge and skills relating to Financial Planning and Budgeting, Business Case Development, Cost Modelling, Process Improvement;
  • Experience working in or with a Finance function, including the delivery of change projects in Finance, such as finance operating model, financial processes design/ standardisation, cost management, finance organisation design and technology implementation;
  • Understanding of the business and technology trends impacting Finance functions.
  • Competent in MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Consistently high quality personal and professional standards.

Some of our projects require the highest level of security clearance so we would particularly welcome applications from individuals with current Developed Vetting clearance; this role requires a minimum of level of clearance of SC.
