We’re looking for Senior Analysts with strong Public Sector backgrounds to work with the Border and Protocol Delivery Group within the Cabinet Office.

The Border and Protocol Delivery Group (BPDG) is a small but influential team supporting high profile work of critical importance within the Cabinet Office. It provides exciting opportunities for those wishing to work in a flexible, dynamic, fast paced environment. The group is responsible for coordinating and assuring delivery of the cross-Government border-related changes in light of our departure from the EU and to ensure strong, joined up planning for the border in the medium and long term.

The Border Impact Centre (BIC) is used by the Border and Protocol Delivery Group (BPDG) to engage across government and beyond to share understanding of border flow, identify issues and collectively address any issues.

The analytical capability will also enable understanding of risks over a longer timeframe, which will support more strategic assessments of issues affecting borders so that all departments can support the delivery of a world class border function.

As Senior Analyst, you will:

  • Detect issues and growing risks through:
  • Ongoing present and horizon scanning though the Border Flow Tool/Situational Awareness Tool
  • Investigating reports of issues raised by stakeholders
  • Validating the above quickly and confidently including the determination of a risk/severity so that the SRA and TM can report and recommend accordingly
  • Delivering daily drumbeat of reporting
  • Understanding alerts and develop mitigations that could be used
  • Contributing to the BIC strategy where required
  • Accessing workflow of Analysts.

 

 

You’ll have:

  • The ability to work as part of a team, at pace in crisis management scenario
  • Experience of collaboration and partnering across grades and across government work groups
  • The ability to forge strong working relationships with excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
  • The ability to work flexibly and under pressure
  • Leadership skills
  • Public Sector/Central Government experience
  • SC/CTC Clearance (ideally)
