The Role of a PMO Governance and Planning LeadReporting to the Head of PMO, the PMO Governance and Planning lead, is responsible for the management of PMO services such as Planning, Project Controls and reporting and governance.
Essential skills and experience
??? Overall highly experienced in PMO processes
??? Experience of previously setting up a PMO
??? Evidence of Supporting a Team in a PMO environment
??? Experience PMO ??? needed to lead the team
??? Risk management
??? Planning experience
??? Stakeholder management
??? Hit the ground running with initiative
??? Support the HEO???s and wider team
??? Monitoring and Reporting
??? Establish and maintain project controls, keeping the project manager aware of the project status.
??? Prepare project performance reports, presenting statistics and researching new information.
??? Escalate issues as appropriate to the PMO lead and PM
??? Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and act as lead point of contact for some external parties.
??? Report on project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets and the development of the business case.
??? Report on key project and programme risks, escalating as appropriate
??? Provide papers to the governance forums and deliver the wider reporting requirements.
??? Produce clear guidance and processes and then embed demand management best practice.
??? Work flexibly within the PMO team as and when required, covering other roles when necessary.
