As the Evidence Generation Leader within the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics Market Access Team of GE Healthcare (GEHC) , you will work with GEHC stakeholders to identify opportunities and execute health economic and outcomes research studies. These studies will aim to demonstrate the value of GE Healthcare's Pharmaceutical Diagnostic products at various stages of development.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Execute health economic and outcomes research studies and coordinate multiple projects for a product team in order to demonstrate the value of a GEHC product across different therapeutic applications.
  • Identify and manage external contractors undertaking economic studies on behalf of GE Healthcare. Where appropriate, undertake in-house economic studies and related activities such as literature reviews and modeling. 
  • Effectively communicate health economic plans and economic study results undertaken by GE Healthcare and by other organizations to internal and external audiences. •Develop tools for Market Access and other field-based teams globally to demonstrate/communicate product value 
  • Present research findings at professional congresses and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Work with product leaders, field marketing and market access to develop strategies for evidence generation and value communications. 

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Master  degree or higher in Economics, Health Economics, Business, or related field (health services research, statistics, economics or epidemiology). 
  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical / medical device industry or research organization / consultancy.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing evidence generation strategies to achieve positive pricing and reimbursement for neurology and/or cardiology products (both preferred).
  • Understanding of payer and financial decision maker evidence requirements (US, EU, and/or China)  and demonstrated working knowledge of various health care environments globally (US, EU, China) 
  • Ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships with global-based clinical, regulatory, reimbursement and marketing professionals at GEHC as well as with external clinician and economist advisors 
  • Excellent project management skills with strong orientation to detail 

Desired Characteristics :

  • PhD or Clinical doctoral degree (MD, PharmD) with a master degree in health economics, health services research, statistics, economics or epidemiology.
  • Able to develop and communicate health economic deliverables through digital platforms and channels.
  • Able to generate original ideas for research projects, develops/utilizes innovative solutions, ability to "think out of the box", can step back and look at situations from different points of view. 
  • Simplifies strategy into specific actions with a clear solutions focus, makes decisions and communicates priorities; has ability to sift through complex information and focus on the critical few priorities.
  • Experience in applying techniques of health economic evaluation to the area of diagnostic imaging and/or medical devices.
  • Understands customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends; considers the external impact of business activities and decision on customers, market/industry, investors, media, government and communities.
