The Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Analyst will support the SWP manager within the Workforce Analytics & Operations team. Responsibilities will be to own and drive various analyses of SWP practices across GE Renewable Energy globally. Utilise advanced analysis, people metrics and reporting to develop strategic models and methodology, to create operational insights for workforce decision-making to identify gaps and solutions to meet business requirements.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :
ssential duties and responsibilities will typically include the following but other duties and responsibilities might be assigned:
- Support 1-3 year strategic workforce planning aligned with annual business strategy discussions to identify implications on total workforce, key gaps in roles, supporting talent strategies and internal pipeline.
- Drive analytics that support the end-to-end cycle of annual workforce planning from collection during annual budget planning to tracking and governance throughout the plan year including headcount forecasting and skills management.
- Drive workforce planning and demand forecasting processes in partnership with finance, business leaders, HR partners, and Talent Acquisition.
- Provide relevant tools and processes, and partner with the Organization & Talent Development team to drive effective talent management strategies, including partnering with Talent Acquisition to turn headcount demand into recruiting capacity
- Provide analytics and interpret results to support the business decision involving internal labor modeling, cost implications, location strategy, organization workforce design, workforce competency modeling, internal movement, etc.
- Support the continued implementation of competency models for key functions globally, drive cohesive competency model and skills analysis strategy linking analysis with learning and talent acquisition teams.
- Occasionally support wider HR leadership team with adhoc HR and workforce planning analysis.
- Partner with People Science team on related people data projects.
- Effectively use HR reporting tools and dashboards to provide ad hoc support to HR leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements :
- Degree in human resources, economics, statistics, finance, social science, psychology, or another field that uses quantitative analysis.
- Experience of HR and SWP projects within a global industrial company and leading analysis.
- Working knowledge of statistics and application of statistical tools, alongside knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau, Python, and R.
- Advanced knowledge of excel capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Workday, Workday reporting and position management.
- Fluency in English, with polite, professional communication skills.

Desired Characteristics :
- Previous experience where you've proven success in an HR analytics role in a global industrial company.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite with expert skills in MS Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint.
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to assess data and trends using both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
- High level of technical/system acumen - has the level of technical skills required to execute data extraction, data mining and reporting from a variety of workforce systems.
- Experience of working with Lean Management tools
- Have a strong work ethic, organization skills, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions

- Must have excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving communication skills.
