He/she will be responsible for leading GE REN's PPA activity globally to support the company's development and equipment sales activity. The main function of the role is to lead a team responsible for originating, structuring and negotiating offtake arrangements with utilities, traders and corporates on behalf of GE as an equity investor or on behalf of GE's customers in an advisory role.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :The PPA Leader will work closely with the Renewable Energy Sales Leaders, Regional Leadership team, Global Leadership team and the GE Energy Financial Services team to achieve sales goals for GE Renewables in the different regions.In this role, you will lead the team to structure and negotiate investable and bankable offtake agreements with corporate electricity consumers and traders/utilities to support the sale of wind turbines. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to create viable offtake solutions for several different projects and customers in a variety of energy markets. You will need to work closely with cross-functional teams internally as well as customers, off takers, associations and advisers to drive the growth of PPAs. Furthermore, you will investigate and implement alternative revenue structures adding value to renewable projects in close cooperation with relevant GE entities.In addition, you will: Lead the development of GE's Offtake Advisory Services offering and, together with Sales, sell this product to GE's customersSupport the launch, operation and continued development of Green Accelerator, an online PPA marketplace created by GE, Axpo and :elblox.Lead the development and implementation of relevant offtake structures optimizing business cases for GE's clients Be an integral part of meeting regional targets for equipment sales and Contribution MarginWork with customers (developers, IPPs and investors) to understand their PPA preferences and capabilitiesProvide Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to Sales Leadership regarding viable PPA-supported project types, sizes, locations, timings, etc.Utilize SalesForce.Com and ensure accuracy of opportunity tracking / forecasting dataQualifications/Requirements :Master's degree from an accredited university or college and /or equivalent experienceExperience in energy markets, e.g. as a trader, originator, structurer, quantitative analyst, procurement manager, sustainability adviser, project developer, financial adviser or investorExtensive experience with the full PPA lifecycle from origination through execution, along with excellent commercial and financial analysis skills.Strong communication skills and confidence with executive level presentationsStrong interpersonal, leadership, team building, and negotiation skills; ability to work with colleagues and customers at all levels of the organizations Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels of the organizationTrack record of successfully working across cultures in complex project environmentsDesired Characteristics :Ability to influence key stakeholders and focus on prioritiesProven leadership experience and able to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization across culturesAbility to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Consistent track record of meeting performance objectivesSelf-starter with high energy, willingness to cold-call and network and an ability to energize othersProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience using a CRM systemAbility and willingness to travel up to 50% of timeAdditional Eligibility Qualifications :
