This is a significant opportunity for a proven business development, account development individual who has clear and demonstrable experience of and contacts within critical national infrastructure as central government departments.
Working within a matrix environment with a rapidly but stably expanding technologically agnostic software consultancy, there is significant opportunity to grow and progress with a clear route to executive team membership.
The role will start as a leadership role within critical national infrastructure and move to include oversight of that market as well as national security and defence sectors UK wide with a matrixed team of over 250 people. As a unit within a larger UK ltd, you will have significant support across all aspects of bid work as well as shared expert resource.
The growth of the role will in turn transition it from Account Director to Commercial Director.
The key aspect of this role is not solely the skill set of networking and opening opportunities but having the ambition to drive those opportunities through the bid cycle and implementation phase and work to the next opportunity. A significant part of this cycle is the identification of future opportunity, building a professional and accountable pipeline whether that be short, medium or long term.
Forward and strategic planning to facilitate wider business strategy is key and a key aspect of the Commercial Director role in the future. You will utilise your forward planning to mentor Unit Heads and assist them in growing their respective practices.
This role is focused around professional sales growth, forward strategic planning and commercial expertise at every stage. You will need to roll your sleeves up, especially if you are used to large bid teams and sales teams to support, you will not immediately get that in this role but what you will get is significant opportunity for personal growth and moving from a sales orientated position to an ops position in an very short timescale within an organisation that has doubled in the last couple of years.
