Policing in the UK faces a series of challenges as it seeks to modernise, become more efficient, and make the most of technology and innovation to respond to modern and future demands. As an integral part of policing, forensic science is facing these challenges too. The Transforming Forensics (TF) programme is designed to support forensic science to turn this challenge into an opportunity.
At the heart of the TF programme is a desire to work together nationally to deliver high quality, specialist forensic capabilities by networking existing services to share knowledge and improve resilience, efficiency, quality and effectiveness. This approach is the Forensic Capability Network (FCN).
This is a national role and will include specialist technical digital or scientific activities, guidance and support to the FCN commercial leadership and broader in policing.
This post will support activities in relation to commercial, regulatory and legal requirements, within either traditional or digital forensics.
Please ensure that your application provides evidence of all the essential and desirable criteria as outlined in the job description as the short listing process will be assessed against these criteria.
For further information please see the full job description. If you have any queries please contact Paul Greaves - Senior Commercial Manager (Digital Forensics).
