We're looking for someone dynamic, ambitious and eager to make an impact to become our next Programme Manager.

About the Role

Working as part of our Defence Systems Technology (DST) business we're looking for an experienced programme manager to join us. DST forms a critical part of Babcock's Marine organisation. Working across a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, our 1,500 strong team operate from a number of sites across the UK and internationally ensuring our global customer portfolio is always supported.

The role is to come in and lead a mission critical, high profile and complex programme with change and transformational elements including accountabilities such as:

• Managing multiple £100m+ size programmes, or multiple projects, over a suitable period to demonstrate experience and success.
• Leading with accountability and delegating effectively across functions.
• Functional line management of project professionals in multiple teams from Project Administrator to Senior Project Manager Level.
• Developing strong teams, having a compelling team working ethos and a track record of engaging, developing and communicating with teams and individuals.
• Strong negotiating and influencing in a strategic and complex commercial and project environment.

What do I need to do the role?

• Have significant proven experience in project management.
• Hold Association of Project Management APMP, APM PMQ, APM PQ or Registered Project Professional (preferred).
• Have a strong level of Project and Programme Management knowledge and experience.
• Have evidence of the management of programmes in complex environments.
• Be eligible for SC level (UK) security clearance.

• Location: Flexible - anticipated to be Ashton, Bristol. However, we also have sites in Filton (North Bristol) and Ashchurch (Tewkesbury) where you can work from. (AMEND AS NECESSARY)
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
