Contract Opportunity: Interaction Designer

Duration: 3 Months

Location: remote

Inside of IR35

As an Interaction Designer you will be responsible for:

*To work as part of a multi-disciplined team to design user focussed and intuitive software
*Take responsibility for translating and driving through findings from users into design concepts, prototypes and production assets
*Work closely with development teams to ensure design is implemented faithfully and with due intent
*Work autonomously as required to take responsibility for proactively identifying and resolving any issues arising
*Deliver designs that meet web standards, ensuring that key elements are built in from the outset
*Contributing to the development and continual enhancement of the product
*Communicating/Partnering with colleagues to facilitate a consistent user experience and managing stakeholders
*Facilitating User Research (including observing and providing recommendations) and subsequently iterating design based on research outcomes


Person Specification:

Essential Criteria
You'll be an expert in:
*Understanding users and identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.
*Translating user stories and proposing design approaches/services to meet these needs; and engaging in meaningful interactions and relationships with users.
*Designing interactions by applying technical knowledge and experience to design or create workable prototypes, both digital and physical outputs.
*Prototyping in code, but not necessarily producing production-ready code, and communicating effectively with developers.
*Stakeholder communication and management; including influencing, facilitation & negotiation across organisational, technical and political boundaries.
*Coaches and leads teams in Agile and Lean practices
*Creating an open and collaborative working environment across your own team and wider organisation.
