Interim HR Advisor

Pay Rate: Up to £261 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Location: Corsham: currently WFH, expectation in the new year to be in office once or twice a week

The role is part of the Defence Digital HLB Human Resources Function, responsible for delivering Human Resources Services across the HLB.

The function develops and delivers the people strategy, ensuring a diverse, inclusive and skilled workforce to enable the HLB to meet its business objectives with posts undertaking a variety of tasking across the 9 Civil Service HR job families.

Main Duties:

  • Implement HR processes whilst managing employee relations; dealing with disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Delivering new and revised policies within specified timeframes; overseeing equality impact assessments for all new/revised policies.
  • Minimising disputes and employment tribunal costs through effective implementation of policies, engaging with Unions, Senior Management, Line Managers and staff with all new and revised policies.
  • Overseeing the recruitment process, including the management and distribution of job descriptions and, if required, ensure that transferees are logged on payroll and HR systems.

The post’s roles and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage and maintain the recruitment approval process (RCB)
  • Provide recruitment guidance to recruiting Line Managers
  • Use of Spreadsheets to collate MI
  • Able to work at Pace
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Previous experience of Civil Service Recruitment Process and Policy would be advantageous
  • Experience of managing and maintaining a recruitment approval process
  • Good experience of use of Spreadsheets and collating MI
  • CIPD Associate membership

Contract Length: 6 months
