Data Engineer
Summary
- We are looking for ETL Data Engineers who will work across the design, development, testing and support of our client’s data and analytics software solutions.
- Work as part of an Agile software delivery team; typically delivering within an Agile Scrum framework.
- You will work on the full range of software engineering and solutions development activity; covering requirements gathering and analysis, solutions design, software coding and development, testing, implementation and live support.
- You will contribute to the software engineering communities by providing your ideas for innovation and process improvement and coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Please note this role requires candidates to hold current UKIC DV Clearance

Role Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer delivering within large scale and complex data analytics solutions.
- Ability to operate at all stages of the software engineering lifecycle
- Experience of Agile Scrum based delivery
- Technical expertise in a range of leading ETL toolsets, database technologies, data analytics toolsets, operating systems, platforms (Cloud/traditional), programming and scripting languages. E.G. Cloudera-Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, HiveQL, HDFS, Impala, Oracle DB, PLSQL, SQL, Unix, AWS, Azure, Informatica, Business Objects, Pentaho DI, Pentaho BA, SAS 9.x, SAS Viya, PowerBI, Python, Talend, Denodo, Unix, Shellscript, Java, Javascript
