The Transmission Engineer position is confident in deliver complex enterprise network solutions for customers, a perfect fit for supporting the growth of our enterprise business. Engineer needs to have experience working with BT/VDF/EE/Virgin Media's transmission network. We are looking for a candidate that can work closely with project teams in different countries remotely to commission OTN network devices. The candidate shall possess a strong desire to adapt to the customer needs and successfully deliver new links and add new equipment under a tight schedule.

Department - Enterprise Service Dept

Job Purpose
You will be responsible for deliver Transmission or IP Network Solutions working with OSN 8800 Series, OSN 1800 Series, Cienna equipments. Maintaining a good relationship with customer and partner.

Main Responsibilities
These are the key responsibilities of the job. On occasion you may be required to undertake other duties:
*Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
*Proof of Concept (POC) test and certification test in pre-sales phase
*Hardware/software validation, installation and commissioning, must know Huawei OSN equipment or Cienna equipment and work with U2000 NMS.
*Product and technology training to customer/partner
*Remote and onsite Technical support
*Professional services such as network plan, design, data migration, etc.
*Being able to work under pressure to deliver network expansion.
*Fluent English speaker (this requirement is mandatory).
*Chinese speaker is preferred. (is not mandatory).
*A plus to speak other languages in Europe German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
 
Knowledge, Qualification and Experience Required
*Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, especially sometimes facing Overtime remotely commissioning work.
*Experienced in working as project / delivery engineer in network for boards expansions, software upgrades and migrations of services.
*Details of Job requirement
Extensive experience in Transmission Operations & Maintenance, Project roll-out, Planning and Design of transmission networks including SDH, DWDM/OTN, Optical Fiber, with hands on experience
*Possess at least a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of service delivery experience.
