About the Role
Here at Babcock International Group in Rosyth we are currently looking for a Senior Change Engineer to join us. We aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our Engineering, Specialised Manufacturing, Gas Handling Systems and Naval Marine business streams.
Your key responsibilities will include providing assistance and relevant data to the Project Management team in all aspects of change. Supporting in the implementation of change controls systems. Delivering the necessary activities to accurately capture cost and schedule impact from change. Producing regular cost and value data to support forecasts to completion of change activities. Assisting in the preparation of data required to populate project reports including progress, cost, earned value and trend analysis as directed. You should be proactive in identifying, assessing & reporting early warning of schedule slippage against change implementation activities. Highlighting any identified issues/risks & opportunities to the project team. Organising & chairing regular change reviews/meetings with key stakeholders and recording of decisions. Assessing proposed change for feasibility of implementation and selecting solutions offering least impact to programme. Assessing impact assessments and challenging where required. Liaising with Planning Team to schedule approved change activities to limit potential programme risk. Governance & reviews of change process for appropriateness to meet programme requirements. Supporting training and communication as part of change management. Activities may include designing or delivering specialised training resources to Engineering community on change process. Coordinating with the PM and Change Board for changes presenting higher risk. Supporting continuous improvement of Project Change Management/Controls. Fostering excellent working relations relating to change across the Programme stakeholders. Employing sound data management controls that provide transparency, traceability, auditability and configuration control. Ensuring a positive HS&E culture within the business is maintained and proactively improve the HS&E performance standards.
What do I need to do the role?
You will need proven experience in an Engineering Change Control position. Understanding of scheduling and Planning & accounting tools. Budget controls and cost monitoring. You should have extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar Engineering & Detail Design Change Controls environment. Working experience and understanding of scheduling toolsets (IFS and Primavera). An understanding of the specific context in which the post holder will be expected to operate.

  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment, which expects high levels of confidentiality and ethical behaviour.
  • Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines
  • Essential experience of using CAD 3D Modelling systems
What else do I need to know?
You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
