At PA we are proud of the work we do to protect our clients and their citizens. Aspects of this are inevitably sensitive and we therefore have a number of working areas at our Melbourn office that are approved by UK Government for secure work to be performed, our Secure Working Environments (or SWEs). Understandably there are additional processes and regulations that we need to adhere to for the SWEs and which the projects that use them must comply with.
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the continued operation of the SWE spaces and administrative support to the projects that use them. The role is essential to PA delivering great work for key clients.
Key accountabilities:
  • Providing an end to end service for all project administration for classified work
  • Managing classified materials: to include, registration, maintenance, governance, audit & destruction
  • Arrangement and liaison point of all secure internal and external visits into the SWE
  • Arranging and administering secure transportation of materials to/from various secure sites
  • Central to the role is the provision of high levels of support to all SWE room users including:
    • Responding quickly and concisely to all resource requests
    • Responding efficiently to internal/external clients
  • In parallel it is to ensure that the SWEs meet HMG requirements including:
    • Ensuring complete compliance with HMG process & policy and escalating any issues of non-compliance/risk to the Security Controller
    • Ensuring HMG inspection records and registers remain exemplary
    • Ensuring SWE Users have up to date information relating to admin & IT procedures within the HMG arena
    • To be an initial point of contact in the event of any secure incident
    • To take a central role in incident management in the event of any secure incident
    • To continuously improve the facilities, systems and processes for operating in the SWEs
  • Share out of hours Duty Manager responsibilities

  • Working effectively, sensitively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
Please note. Due to the level of security clearance required for this particular role, applicants must be sole British national and hold or be able to achieve an HMG security clearance.
