SEO/HEO Policy Advisor - Central London

We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim SEO/HEO Policy Advisor to join a Central Government organisation in London.

Contract length:               3 Months +

Location:                              Central London

Rate:                                     Inside IR35

Security Clearance:         SC Clearance/ BPSS

As a SEO/HEO Policy Advisor you will:

• Translating intelligence and insight across briefings, tailored advice and reporting products for senior Officials and Ministers;
• Maintaining strategic oversight of relevant engagement and activities to ensure a collective and cohesive understanding of key issues and updates;
• Managing key relationships across Defra to gather and analyse intelligence;
• Supporting policy work-streams and specific projects across Defra;
• Working flexibly under pressure and managing multiple priorities to meet challenging deadlines

The successful SEO/HEO Policy Advisor will be highly skilled in:

• Strong communication skills with an ability to disseminate accurate information in an appropriate medium for the intended audience
• Confidence in analysing complex information at pace, and to proactively follow-up where further clarity may be required.
• Adapting in a fast-paced environment, with significant ambiguity, where the ‘ask’ can change on a daily or hourly basis
• Delivering high quality work, drawing on a range of insight and evidence, which can be digested by a very senior audience and enables them to make the decisions necessary
• Collaborating internally and externally with people of all levels, to successfully deliver on a project
• Proactive in suggesting new or improved ways of working
• Confidence to work independently and as part of a team to meet challenging deadlines
