Head of Commercial (SC Cleared)

Our client require an experienced interim Head of Commercial (SC Cleared)

The interim Head of Commercial role will provide leadership for the Commercial team, oversee transform activities and provide senior stakeholder engagement and support across the organisation.

The role:

Lead and direct and oversee any resultant transform activities.

Support the business through policy and strategic development, business planning, performance, service delivery and/or governance.

Lead on building effective partner relations and work collaboratively with stakeholders and external organisations.

Lead the delivery of the Commercial Functional transformation.

Deliver and implement a Commercial resourcing strategy and plan that puts the right commercial structure and resources in place to support the business demand.

Work with other enabling capabilities to improve the Supplier Assurance capability for end to end assurance.

Improve spend data, commercial pipeline and assurance processes to improve commercial outcomes and improve general quality of data.

Key skills and experience:

• In-depth knowledge and experience of working with public procurement legislation and spending controls.
• Significant evidence of the successful design and delivery of holistic end-to-end strategic category plans and commercial strategies.
• Evidence of leading teams at a strategic level in complex organisations, supporting and enabling transformational change.
• Ability to quickly gain the respect of, and buy-in from staff and stakeholders at all levels, exhibiting traits of a collaborative and engaging leader with a strong change/delivery focus.
• A track record of achieving strong results through successfully building capability at all levels of a commercial function.
• MCIPS or GCF ADC Accreditation 'A' at Associate Commercial Specialist Level.
