About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for two experienced Drivers to join our Logistics team at Babcock.

The role holder will be responsible for driving vehicles both internally at HM Naval Base Clyde and externally on public roads and highways. The fleet includes cars, vans, minibuses, HGV and PCV vehicles and you may be tasked to drive some or all of these vehicles as required. As part of your role, you will be required to operate a tachograph, maintain detailed driving records and complete associated documentation.

The anticipated salary for this role will be £23,172 per annum.

What do I need to do the role?

Previous experience of driving category C vehicles would be a significant advantage. Ideally, you would hold a Digital Tachograph Card, a current Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence and an ADR Certificate. Key areas of competency we require will include:

• Valid driving licence
• Current holder of category D licence entitlement (category C licence entitlement would be desirable)
• Knowledge of EU tachograph regulations and associated legislation
• Knowledge of Working Time regulations and their relevance to a driving role
• Strong team ethic and excellent customer service skills
  
  What else do I need to know?
  
  You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance.
