Serco have an exciting opportunity for Civil Enforcement Officers to join our Parking Services team in North West London.

The working hours are Monday to Sunday 6am-1am, including Bank Holidays on a rota basis. You MUST be flexible to work shifts across all required days and evenings.

Our Civil Enforcement Officers are responsible for ensuring enforcement of all on/off street permitted parking regulations in all controlled zones/beats, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004. They provide vital front-line customer service to the local community and take great pride in their work.

A typical day will see you walking in excess of 10 miles in all weather conditions, including snow, wind and rain, offering guidance and advice in parking matters to the general public and issuing penalty charge notices and authorise removal of vehicles using a handheld computer terminal where appropriate. You will also report any damages or faults with Pay & Display machines within the borough and carry out gritting at the off-Streetcar parks as and when required, as well as any other duties required by management.

About You

As front-line customer service representatives, you will be confident in dealing with members of the public and have the ability to remain calm and act professionally and courteously at all times and in all situations. You should be approachable, friendly and always promote positive public relations.

It is essential that you hold a driving licence to be considered for this role, as you may be deployed in a Mobile unit at any of the Parking Services contracts, so please make sure this is visible on your CV.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a customer facing customer service environment, are happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and have exceptional communication skills in both spoken and written English.
