Human Resources Branch within GMP aim to deliver a professional and dynamic service to our customers, against the back drop of major strategic change. With the focus being to foster a collaborative approach to people management, ensuring that we get the best from our workforce. We continue to support our customers across the full range of HR functions both strategic and services and support central change programmes.

The Strategic Workforce Co-ordinator is responsible for working with the Change and Transformation Branch to understand and manage change and its impact on the Force establishment and job design.

The postholder will report to the Head of Performance and Resource Management via the Principal Performance and Resource Management Officers. Although embedded within HR, the postholder will provide a bridge between the HR Branch and the Change and Transformation Branch so as to anticipate, understand and monitor the impact of change programmes/projects on the establishment. The postholder will ensure any implications are reported and administered correctly.

The postholder will also need to understand the strategic implications of change proposals on new or existing roles and facilitate effective job evaluation.

Given the strategic nature of the role, the candidate will need to have experience of liaising at all levels of an organisation, have the ability to deliver presentations at a strategic level and produce written work to a high standard within deadlines. Along with all of the other essential criteria listed within the person specification, the candidate must also have experience of using advanced spreadsheet applications due to the analysis requirements of the role.
