Currently have a requirement for a high level (DV) security cleared Implementation Manager, to assist my client on a new project, offered on an initial 12 month contract with view for further extension or transition to permanent.

Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current and active DV clearance for this opportunity, or be willing and eligible to obtain the relevant level of security clearance at the clients request.

The Client will implement an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering that commissions a secure Managed Private Cloud (MPC) at the Client’s preferred delivery location (9-month build), followed by lift and shift re-hosting of the client’s existing workloads to the new environment (6-month migration) and then operations for the 3 year term.

Role and responsibilities:

  • The BMC/Remedy Solution Architect will own and be responsible for the architecture, design, engineering and implementation of the BMC/Remedy ITSM suite
  • The candidate will oversee the implementation of the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite products including Service Level Agreements (SLM), Configuration management (CMDB), knowledge management, and self-service capabilities to align with and support identified requirements
  • In addition, the Architect will oversee implementing required integrations of the BMC Remedy Action Request System with other GOTS and COTS application(s)
  • Architect the BMC Remedy platform to meet identified functional and non-functional requirements.  Design and lead development and integration of Remedy improvements and feature additions utilizing feedback from leadership and infrastructure teams including self-service and capability automations
  • Perform change assessments including the development and implementation of change control board documentation as well as attend and defend change requests
  • Deliver ongoing improvement opportunities with processes, standards, and policies
  • Work as a team player, learning form others as well as mentoring
  • Responsible to operations and maintenance of out of the box Remedy Applications.

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of technical experience
  • Experience working with BMC Remedy 9 and above
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including consulting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Lean-Agile methods and DevOps working practices
  • MS Office skills e.g. Excel, Word and Project, Visio
  • Proven group presentations skills
  • Concentrate on certain areas of technology driven by company technology objectives
  • Manage and Provide Remedy ITSM solutions architect to provide end-to-end support/activities/tasks to development domain environment
  • Develop statistics and reports from data provided from various tools and sources on and using Remedy ITSM products.
  • Conduct training and mentoring team members and customers on Remedy ITSM related technology and use
  • Lead efficient identification, troubleshooting, resolving and communication of systemic technical issues/failures/weaknesses/solutions to all responsible parties.
  • Be the primary contact to properly respond to and resolve ITSM tool suite system problems or major issues as they occur and follow established NRC procedures for problem escalation and follow-up in a timely manner
  • Assist other providers with issues or questions regarding the Remedy ITSM
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to develop and maintain Remedy ITSM data and system integrity
  • Lead assurance that proper application of security standards and compliance
  • Lead the status updates and comments to process owners, service owner(s), management and/or team participants
  • Attend customer meetings as requested and scheduled as the manager of this service
  • Lead team/others to create or update documentations including but not limited to Remedy ITSM SOPs, How To’s, and KBA articles
  • Assist end users with ITSM issues and questions via phone and/or email.
  • Experience in Windows server and client operating systems
  • Experience of build and operation of highly secure infrastructure systems
  • Experience of taking systems through security test and applying remediation(s)
  • Experience with BMC Service Request management
